Alexander Sneddon, son of the proprietor, was killed in the new pit at Summer Hill, Plattsburg, this morning. He was within a dozen yards of the mouth of the tunnel, where, it is supposed, a skip struck a prop, causing a fall of coal, and killing both horse and man.
