DEATH. BRABY.— At the General Hospital Townsville, on Saturday, February 23 at 6.30 p-m. MAGGIE LOCKWOOD BRABY. aged 36 years, beloved wife of W. H. Braby, Edward -street. Ayr, and mother of Martin, Marion, Carrie, May, Doris, William. George, Cyrus and Charles Braby, Ayr. Third daughter James McDonald Smith. Brisbane. Sister of Mr L Smith. Brisbane: Mrs. J. Donoghue. Bowen. and Mrs A. J. Long. Townsvllle. after a short illness. R.I.P.

WEDDING.
THOMPSON— BRABY .
Of great Interest to a large circle
of friends was the wedding of Dor
othy Olive, youngest daughter of Mr.
W. Braby, of Ayr, and the late Mrs.
Braby, and Edward Alfred Thomp
son, which took place at the Ayr
Methodist Church, the Rev. S. T.
Vlckery officiating. Tho bride, who
was given away by her brother, Mr.
George Braby, woe a frock of white
Nebo Broelve Anglaise, made old
world style, with large organdie true
lovers knots and sprigs of Lilies of
the Valley; tight-fitting bodice with
Peter Pan collar. Two veils were
worn, one forming a small train and
the other, which was of embroidered
tulle, attached to an Anglaise halo,
fell softly Into a long cloud of tulle.
Long embroidered mittens were worn.
Her bouquet comprised an armful of
white gladioli and bridal fern, tied
with satin ribbon and silver horse
shoes, the gift of her brother, Mr.
Martin Braby. Miss Angelina Walker
and Miss Malsie Saxby, dressed In
daisy printed organdl (Miss Walker
In pink, and Miss Saxby In blue), and
wearing small flat crownless hats of
crisp tulle and flowers, acted as
bridesmaids. The duties of best man
were carried out by Mr. T. Thompson,
while Mr. J. Thompson (both brothers
of the bridegroom), acted as grooms
man. During the signing of the re
gister, Mr. T. Morgan sang 'Because'
and Miss D. Jarvls played the Wed
ding March as the couple left the
church. The reception was held at the
Caledonian Hall, the guests being re
ceived by Miss May Braby, sister of
the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson
ire spending their honeymoon In the
North .
