The Tumut and Adelong Times 26 May 1931
BITUARY MRS. OLIVE MURIEL LITT Sad circumstances attended the death of Mrs. Olive Muriel Litt, which occurred in the Temora District Hospital at an early hour on Thursday Mrs. Litt (who was a native of Bangadang), and the youngest daughter of Mr. Jas. Melrose, of Adelong), was only 27 years of age. After marriage she resided at Moss Vale with her husband, Mr. George Henry Litt. Two months ago she went to Temora on an extended visit to her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. Keith. Last week her fourth baby was born. She appeared to be recovering nicely, when another trouble overcame her, to which she succumbed on Thursday morning. Keen sympathy is felt with her sorrowing husband and orphaned children, and also for the father, sis- ter and brothers, who went over from Adelong and Wagga respectively for the funeral. The body was interred in the Methodist portion of the Temora cemetery, Rev. E. M. Boyer officiating and Mrs. Murphy having charge of the mortuary arrangements. Among the sorrowing relatives are Mrs. B. Crouse (Alfredtown), Mrs. Simpson (Wagga), Messrs. N. Melrose (Batlow), Clarence Melrose (Wagga), Arthur Melrose and a step-mother and two step-sisters, who reside at Adelong. |
