PRICE-PILKINGTON.
On Tuesday afternoon, March 24th. the No.1 Methodist Church, Charters Towers, was the scene of a quiet, but very pretty wedding, when Mr A. H. Price, eldest son of Mr and Mrs E. J. Price, was married to Miss Daisy Pilkington, third daughter of Mr D. Pilkington both of C........... (says the Telegraph). The bride who is a member of the No 1 choir, entered the church on the arm of her brother in law, Mr A. O. Baglini, and was attired in a very smart gown of cream taffeta voile and glace silk, handsomely trim med with guipure medallion applique, the bodice being mounted on a V yoke of tucked silk net ornamental with medallions, and finished with deep should epaulettes; erged with a pretty silk ball trimming. The skirt was trimmed with bands of tucked glace silk, and smartly arranged sets of medallions. The long embossed chiffon veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom, and she wore a gold chain bracelet, the gift of the bride groom. There were three bridesmaids in attendance. Miss Gertie Martin in a very dainty dress of white silk prettily trimmed with glace bows and bunches of English daisies. Miss Martha Pilkington (sister of the bride) looked very nice in a neat little frock of cream cashmere and silk, made with pinafore effects wearing a white silk hat .land carrying a basket of white flowers and fern leaves. Miss Daisy Pilkington, niece of the bride) a little tot of three summers, looked very sweet in a cream mousseleine de sol trimmed with cream French velencelennes lace and insertion white straw and silk bonnet tied with long silk streamers she also carried a basket of flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Mr Oliver Price. The Rev. J. Prowse officiated. At the conclusion ot the ceremony the bridal party was driven to the Marion Studio, where they were photographed, thence to the home of Mr and Mrs A. O. Baglini where the wedding breakfast was served Later Mr and Mrs Price left by the evening train for Townsville on route for Cairns and district. The bride travelled in a smart looking dark blue costume with a stylish hat to match.
