• He served in the military as a Private, number 2262, 55th Battalion, 1st AIF from October 21, 1915 to May 8, 1917 in WW1. Unit embarked from Sydney, NSW, on board HMAT A15 Port Sydney on 4 September 1916. Buried in The Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
