Lt.-Col. William Blacker was born on 1 September 1777.1 He was the son of Very Rev. Stewart Blacker and Elizabeth Hill.1 He married Anne Ferguson, daughter of Sir Andrew Ferguson, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Alexander, in November 1810 in a childless marriage.1 He died on 25 November 1855 at age 78.1
Lt.-Col. William Blacker graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1811.1 He held the office of Vice Treasurer of Ireland between 1811 and 1829.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Armagh Militia.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Carrickblacker, Drumaconwey, County Armagh, Ireland.1 |
