DNA verified - was farming 40 acres at Arley Green in 1861, and was farming in the Great Budworth parish in 1871 - died at Budworth Heath 30 Sept 1873. After he died his wife Mary was farming 212 acres in 1881. Name of farm not verified. Gravestone at Gt. Budworth records son James (youngest), an Engineer, died in Johannesburg South Africa in 1898 aged 43. (Unable to substantiate South African burial). Son John farmed 67 acres at Pickmere married Sarah Barber (sister of our Elizabeth Barber and Alice Ann Barber). Son Thomas married Alice Moore farmed 80 acres at Peover. Dau Elizabeth married Peter Monteith Adair (house painter in Gt. Budworth village). Dau Mary married George Priestner (farmer of 103 acres at Whitley). |
