- Notes: William Hayden, father of John Hayden and Robert Hayden arrived in Tumut in 1841.

He was the first wheelwright and undetalker, carrying on his business first at the old township at the Mill Angle and later in premises in Fitzroy Street close to the Woolpack Hotel.

Robert Hayden of Blowering, familiarly known as Long Bob, was a grandson. Robert Hayden, son of William Hayden was reported to have walked the sixty miles from Kiandra to Tumut between sunrise and sunset.

William Hayden came to Tumut from Gunning in a spring cart with his wife and children. Their children were;
