- Notes: I have written and published a book called “Wild Honey and other stories of My Australian Family”. In the book I have written about the Hincksman family as my mother was a Hincksman. I did some research on Thomas Hincksman (my great great grandfather) from when he left Liverpool, England and settled at Queanbeyan. Queanbeyan Library and the Historical Museum at Queanbeyan have copies of the book, but I thought it might be of interest to other members of the extended family so I thought I would drop you a line to let you know about the book.
If you want to contact me I have a separate email address for my book which makes it easier to keep track of emails about the book. The address is Judith.slyney@gmail.com I wrote under my maiden name of Slyney and of course have researched other sides of my family and well as recording my life as a young child on a farm on the mid north coast of NSW. There are quite a few stories of old characters who lived in the district that we knew as a family. Feedback I have had so far has been good with a number of people telling me they enjoyed reading it. The cost of the book is $25.00 plus postage of $11.00.
