Arthur Vivian Gozzard - Obituary

The death occurred on September 26 of 90 years old Arthur Vivian Gozzard. The late Mr Gozzard died in the Forbes District Hospital where he had celebrated his 90th birthday last July. He was born in Canberra and moved to the Forbes district about 1916. He had several properties in the area over the years and will be remembered as one of the district's well known horsemen. It is believed that he trained over 3000 horses in his time. He retired into town where he lived in Sherrif St Forbes. Mr Gozzard is survived by a daughter, Zeta (Mrs Sexton of Yass) and a son Athol (Avril) of Parkes. He also had five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. His funeral service was conducted by Rev Doug peters at the Church of England Forbes. [Forbes Advocate 17.10.1972]
