| At the time of their marriage, the parish records showed Charles aged 21, a bachelor and labourer of Campton. His father was Joseph Francis and they were married by banns. Sarah was aged 24, a spinster of Campton. Her father was James Gregory, a labourer. Charles signed his name while Sarah made her mark. Witnesses were James Tuydell (sic) and Ann Francis. In 1861, Charles' occupation was agricultural lbourer and Sarah's was straw plaiter. |
