- Notes: Deborah's brother Charles Chowne 1740, wed three times. In 1776 his wife Mary
bore him a son Henry; in 1780 second wife Hannah MORTIMORE from Bradninch
had a son William who probably didn't survive as he also had a William from his
third marriage to Martha SULLEY or LILLEY (difficult to read) whom he wed at St
Paul's Exeter in 1784. Over the next ten years they had five sons and were living at
Brixham in 1799.
