Ernest Albert Bowman was born in Wagga Wagga, but went to NZ where he married. He returned to Wagga Wagga and conducted a general store at 32 Trail Street. He then moved to Coleman Street, Wagga High School Experiment Farm where he conducted a market garden. He was known locally as the Tomato King.
