The Tumut and Adelong Times 27 Nov 1928
EDWARDS— McCORMICK At a Nuptial Mass, at St. Patrick's Church, Gundagai, last Wednesday, Elsie Ellen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin McCormick, of Bulga Hut, was married to Thomas George Edwards, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Edwards, Tumut, and grandson of the late Mr. Thos. Searle, of Stoney Creek, South Gundagai. The bride, who was given away by her brotherin-law, Mr. Eccleston, wore white georgette, with silver lame overdress, wreath and veil, and carried a sheaf bouquet of Christmas lilies (the gift of Miss Masters, of Tumut). Miss Mary Searle, carrying a handsome bouquet of sweet peas, and wearing a pretty crepe-de-chene of blue tint, with champagne lace, was bridesmaid. Her bouquet was of sweet peas. Mr. Jack M'Cormick, the bride's brother, was groomsman. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. Treacy. The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of Mr. Eccleston, the bride's brother-in-law. The happy couple motored away for the honeymoon, and will make Tumut their future home.
