Sydney Mail 22 Aug 1863
YASS. Wednesday, 2 p.m. A young woman, named Fredericka Lees, aged seventeen, daughter of a farmer at Gundaroo, was found drowned near there. Deceased had been missing some weeks. It appears that, some few weeks since, she left home suddenly without saying a word to her mother, whom she passed as she left the house. At the inquest on the body, yesterday, the jury returned a verdict of "Found drowned."
