Gladdes Annie died only some weeks after my mother was born. My mother was then given by her father to her aunt and uncle (John COLLIN and Ethel Blanche RIDER) and was raised as their daughter. It was only on the evening of Phillip South COLLIN's death, that my mother was told that he really wasn't her brother, but, "merely" her cousin |
