George Anson was baptised on 25 July 1731. He was the son of Sambrooke Adams and Janette Anson.1 He married Mary Vernon, daughter of George Venables-Vernon, 1st Baron Vernon and Hon. Mary Howard, on 5 January 1763. He died on 27 October 1789 at age 58.1
George Anson was baptised with the name of George Adams. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Lichfield between 1770 and 1789.1 On 30 April 1773 his name was legally changed to George Anson by Royal License.1 |
