Magheraculmoney, Fermanagh, Ireland; d. February 19, 1889 Australia at 74 years) and Robert Morrow (b. 1795 Crevenish, Fermanagh, Ireland; d. May 17, 1887 Broughton Vale, New South Wales, Australia. His father was a farmer who immigrated from Ireland, he arrived in Sydney aboard the Orestes. When he died his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Moffitt inherited the farm "Clear View". His Father's first wife was Frances "Fanny" Morrow (his cousin); they were married in 1822 (b. abt. 1798; d. 1835 Crevenish, Fermanagh, Ireland at 37 years), they had six children. Robert and Arabella (Armstrong) Morrow (also his cousin); they were married May 10, 1836 in St. Mary's Church of Ireland and had nine children. Husband of Isabella (Allingham) Morrow (b. July 12, 1833, Ireland; d. May 21, 1907 Australia at 73 years); they were married on January 13, 1853 in Armidale, New South Wales, Australia. Father of Robert William (b. December 28, 1853; d. June 24, 1931 at 77 years), Fanny (b. August 11, 1855; d. 1937 at 81 years), Sarah Jane (b. 1857; d. March 9, 1936 at 79 years, George Edward (b. 1859; d. 1951 at 92 years), James H. (b. 1861; d. July 23, 1913 at 52 years), Elizabeth A. "Bessie" (b. 1863; d. May 22, 1899 at 36 years), Richard Morrow (b. January 9, 1866; d. The Armidale Express and New England General Advertiser obituary: Mr. Geo. Morrow passed away at 8 o'clock this morning, after a few days' illness, at the ripe age of 82 years. Mr. Morrow has been a residence of Hillgrove for the last 16 years, and of the NEw England district for 60 years, being probably the oldest resident at the time of his demise. His wife, besides a large family of sons and daughters, are left to mourn their loss of a loving husband and father. Most of family are residents of Hillgrove. |
