WEDDING PATTERSON— LUCAS On Saturday morning, at 9 a.m., Rev. Fr. Devine officiated at the wedding of Mr. John Arthur Patterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Patterson, of Tumut, and Miss Imelda Margaret Lucas, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lucas, of Batlow, at a Nuptial Mass. Mr. Arthur Way was best man, and Miss Mollie Moore (niece of the bride) bridesmaid. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Pat Lucas, looked very pretty in a dress of white crepe-dechene and silver lace, with wreath and veil, and carrying a sheaf of white autumn flowers, tied with white satin streamers and white satin horseshoes. The bridesmaid wore a pretty dress of blue shot taffeta, with a tinted tulle head-dress, and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums tied with pink streamers. During the ceremonies, Miss Lennie Townson sang. The church was prettily decorated with chrysanthemums and greenery by friends of the bride. The wedding dejeuner was held at the residence of the bride's sister, Mrs. Stan Fenn, a number of relations and old friends being present. Fr. Devine proposed the health of the happy couple; the bridesmaid was toasted by Mr. Cope Hayward, Mr. Arthur Way responding, while to Mr. Reg Chamberlain was entrus ted the the parents. After work was over at mid-day, the 'Mountain Maids' from the Packing House were invited to the feast to drink the health of the happy couple. A large gathering was also present at the station to farewell the newly married pair, which they did right royally. The honeymoon will be spent in Albury and Cootamundra. the bride travelling in a blue woollen dress, with black fur coat and felt hat.
