Personal Notes:
Ivy was born at Esk, the youngest of three children. With brothers Norman and Walter, the family enjoyed musical evenings. Ivy played the piano while the boys played other instruments. Tennis was another ofher leisure activities.

Ivy worked as a tailoress for W Cormack of Esk and also played the piano at interval at the local picture theatre. Ivy and Jack were married at Northgate and lived all their lives in Esk, except for a short time in the forties when they went to Wynnum.

Ivy always had a meal and a bed for anyone who called in: everyone was welcomed with a smile and made to feel at home. The piano was the scene of many 'sing-a-Iongs' with visitors and family. She loved her garden but her great love was her grandchildren.
