Death of Old Cooma Resident Mr. Henry James Willis of Cromwell street, Cooma, passed away at the District Hospital on Friday last at the age of 84 years. Deceased was a native of Sydney, and as a boy worked at Fowler's factory. He subsequently went lo Goulburn. thence to Naas Station. Cooma and Maitland, being married in 1872 to Miss Mary Ann Lindsay. He returned to Manaro in 1874, and worked al the store of Messrs P. D. Murphy & Co., and at the erection of the Cooma Gaol, and started a brickyard at Pine Valley, carrying on that business at the Cooma Creek for many years prior to his retirement. He is survived by a widow, three sons Thomas Henry of Glenrock, Jindabyne, Herbert Arthur of Eastwood, Charles James of Cooma ; and two daughters Mrs. S Martin of Ermington, and Mrs G. H. Hudson of Queanbeyan. There are also 15 grandchildren. The funeral took place at the Mittagong cemetery on Saturday, the Rev Canon Hirst conducting a short service at St. Paul's Church prior to the burial. There was a large attendance at the cemetery, deceased being highly esteemed in the district. Members of the Grand United Order of Oddfellows marched the late Mr. Willis being one of the early members of that body. The pall bearers were Messrs. Stan Burke. Christopher O'Brien Rube O'Neill aud Thomas McManus. Wreaths were from mother and family, Vera Theo and Stuart. Aunties Minnie and Lill, Mr and Mrs C. J. Hain aud family Mrs D R Power (Cobbin), Mrs . D R Hawkins and family amd Mrs. Michel. Charlie, Alice and grand, children, Mrs. L. Walker, alll at Somerset, the Methodist Ladies Church Aid, Annie George and grandchildren, Neida and Nauce. Mrs C. Klein and family, Mr. and Mrs. C- J. Walmsley and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. Gunning and family . Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Quodling, Henry Mary and grandchildren, Louie Sam and Sons, all at Arable, Mr. and Mrs, F. J.
