Son of Letitia Wills and Thomas Shephard Mugridge Hugh Mugridge arrived as a free settler in the colony of New South Wales in 1853 from Devonshire in England. He married Mary Brown on 9 May 1859 in the Church of England, in Queanbeyan, NSW. They had 12 (twelve), children, Hugh, Thomas Sheppard, Esther, James, William Henry, John Brown, Elizabeth Mary, Sarah Jane, Unnamed Baby Girl, Arthur Ernest Joseph, Letitia Maude, and Harold Edward.
