Shorthy after eight o'clock on Sunday night, James, second eldest son of Mr. James Aldridge, senior, breathed his last, after a very long illness. For many years the young man suffered from rheumatics, and since his mother's death-some five years ago- he had been confined to his bed. Deceased was 41 years of age, and in his early days was a fine athletic young man, and a general favourite will all who knew hi. During his long illness, the deceased was ?? resigned and patient sufferer ?? his lot with the utmost fortitude, and the news of his death will be received with deep regret by a large circle of friends. The funeral took place this afternoon, the remains being interred by the side, of his late mother in the Church of England portion of the general cemetery, the Rev. W. N. White officiating at the grave. We offer our sincere sympathy to the bereived father, brothers, and sisters in their loss. Many letters and condolence cards were received by the relatives, and some beautiful floral tributes laid on the grave, inclnding one from the members of the Senior Football Club, of which two of the the deceased's brothers are prominent members. |
