| A few trees have added Mary Donovan as a second marriage. Not true. 'The marriage record isn't for our John McCarthy (who as we know was born about 1818 and married Mary Quinn around 1840). Even though Terry had uploaded this to ancestry.com as the second marriage for our John McCarthy. The John McCarthy below was born about 1843 and buried Field of Mars Cemetery, Sydney in 1930. He is buried in the same plot as his wife (Mary Donovan who died 1918).' |
