Personal Notes:

The Tumut and Adelong Times 3 Jan 1928 DEATH OF MRS. W. J. FOLEY Death came on Boxing Day, at 4.45 p.m., as a happy release from suffering to Mrs. Foley, wife of Mr. W. J. Foley, at Wyangle Station, after an illness of 13 months. Deceased, who was 49 years of age, was the second daughter of Mr. Harry Bradley and the late Mrs. Bradley, late of Yarrangobilly Caves and Yarrangobilly, and married her husband 27 years ago. For some years they embarked in farming pursuits on Mr. P. H. Lampe's farm at 'Westwood,' and when Mr. W. H. Capel acquired Wyangle Station 10 years ago, he was placed in the management of that property, in the homestead portion of which Mrs. Foley ably filled her part. There were two sons (Henry John and William Horace) and one daughter (Ruth) to the union, who with a sorrowing husband mourn the loss of a considerate and indulgent mother and a companionable helpmeet. The late Mrs. Foley made friends of all with whom she became acquainted by her affable and unaffected disposition, and hospitality was a dominant feature in their home. The funeral took place on Boxing Day, the remains being placed in their last resting place in the Church of England portion of the New Cemetery, Tumut, Rev. T. A. Gair, Rector of All Saints', officiating at the grave and Messrs. Fuller and Burt carrying out the mortuary ar rangements.
