Jane was the daughter of Peter and Jane Cowdon. She married John Manning in 1879 and together they had twelve children.
MRS. J. MANNING The funeral of the late Mrs.Jane Manning, of Wantabadgery, took place on Saturday afternoon, interment taking place in the Catholic portion of the Wantabadgery cemetery. Prior to the cortege leaving the residence. prayers were offered by the Rev. Father S. Bongiorno, of Junee who also officiated at the graveside. A large number of relatives and friends from the surrounding district attended, and a very large number of floral tributes were sent. The casket cover with beautiful family wreaths, was carried by Messrs William. Albert and Martin Manning (sons), Sydney Jones, George Thorley and Claude Clemsen. The floral wreathes were carried by Messrs Cecil and Patrick Manning (sons), Arthur (grandson) and D. Hoskinson. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs Black and Pickles, of Junee.
