John Pendergast was a convict who arrived in the colony on the 11th January 1800 aboard the ship "Minerva" which had sailed from Cork in Ireland. He was a political prisoner in Ireland. John was well educated and soon after his arrival in the colony he was granted 250 acres of land at Minto near Campbelltown.
The following information was sent by Maureen Clunne:- John Pendergast Snr's cattle were obtained via the Government Stocks at Seven Hills in 1812. He got them by way of a bond. |
