| The father of William and James was apparently born Joseph Goodman, but could not join the army due to his Jewish heritage and so became known as Henry Wilson. He fought as a drum major and died in the Canadian border wars on 1st May 1813.Apparently buried in the grounds of C of E Cathedral Quebec, as Joseph Wilson. He had 3 children with his second wife Emma Moses, and her remarriage opens up another set of tales. |
