The son of Johann Julius Heinrich and Anna Christina nee Schaefer Beileiter, he married Catherina Margaretha nee Kistenmacher in 1824 in Leimen, Germany. In 1855, with his sons, Johann and "George", and their spouses, he emigrated to the colony.
