The Tumut and Adelong Times 23 Jul 1929
Word has been received of the death, on Wednesday night, of Mr. Jack J. McAlister, who at one time had the Adelong Hotel (since demolished by fire). He married Miss Mary Cassin, daughter of the previous licensee. Jack afterwards became secretary of the Wagga Turf Club, and of recent years was book keeper for the leading store in Ganmain.
