Personal Notes:
Lucy Rachel Moore was born in 1894 after the family had moved to Lilly's Creek Paddock, Ivor District. Her early years were spent on the farm at "Inglewood" Illabo, on Trevithin Road. Then, to Junee, where she helped house-keep for her parents and as paid housekeeper for others. She also assisted her parents when they ran a boarding house. She was house-keeping for Syd Hill, a widower and his three daughters. She loved the girls and married their father. At one time she and the youngest daughter lived in Junee - then all the family lived in Sydney. Rae practically raised Betty and was a wonderful mother to all three girls. Rae was a conscientious housekeeper and seamstress.
