Joseph James Nichols, of 16 Roslyn-street, Bellevue Hill and late of Illabo, beloved husband of Jean Nichols and father of William, Margaret, and Nancy, aged 58 years. *NICHOLS.—January 23, 1937, Joseph James Nichols, third son of the late W. and M. A. Nichols, and brother of R. W. Nichols (Mittagong), O. E. Nichols (Hurlstone Park), J. H Nichols (Dubbo). Mrs. H. Jones (Drummoyne), and Miss M. Nichols (Mittagong). *Goulburn Evening Penny Post (NSW : 1881 - 1940) *Thu 28 Jan 1937 Page 4 *MR. J. J. NICHOLS *Mr. Joseph James Nichols, 59, a partner in the firm of Nichols Bros., general storekeepers, Mittagong, died suddenly at his office on Saturday. His Sydney residence was in Roslyn Street, Bellevue Hill. He leaves a widow and three child ren, William, Margaret and Nancy. In his younger days the late Mr. Nichols was a well-known athlete, cyclist, and cricketer. The funeral, which took place at the Catholic section of the Fitzroy Cemetery, Mittagong, on Sunday was largely attended. Rev. W. L. Byrne officiated at the graveside. |
