Convict sentanced to 7 years for larceny arriving on the ship ' Brothers' in 1824 Granted a Certificate of Freedom in 1831. Married William Wilkinson with one child born of this union. Married Joseph in 1845 at Yass with 2 children born of this union. The Goulburn Herald and Chronicle (NSW : 1864 - 1881) Wed 24 Jun 1868 GUNDAROO.(From the Yass Courier's correspondent.) June 19.—A very old resident, Mrs. Joseph Turton, died last week. About a twelve month ago her husband died very suddenly. He dropped down dead while in the act of loading a dray. They had been over thirty years on Gundaroo. |
