- Notes: I am a descendant of Thomas Boyd (Hume and Hovell Expedition), probably through a daughter I believe was Elizabeth Boyd. Elizabeth married Richard Beck and their son, Thomas Beck, was my maternal grandmother’s father. My maternal grandmother was Amelia Elizabeth Beck and she married Laurence Henry Eccleston. They had one child, Sylvia Jean, my mother, who married Maurice Clifford Bullivant. My grandfather is a descendant of Edward Whitton who came out on the First Fleet on the Scarborough.
