Obituary MRS. MARY ANNE CRAMPTON As briefly announced in our last issue the death occurred at Lynwood Private Hospital, Bexley, on Tuesday last of Mrs. Mary Anne Crampton, widow of the late Mr. Sid Crampton, of Tumut, at the age of 76 years. The late Mrs. Crampton had suffered a stroke about a month ago and after spending three weeks with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ern. Crampton, of Simpson Street, Tumut, she had gone to Sydney to spend some time with another son, Hector. However, she had only been in the metropolis a short while when she suffered a heart attack and subsequently passed away in hospital at Bexley as stated. Deceased was a native of the Tumut district, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Morris, of Terry's Creek, Bombowlee, and with the exception of 18 months at Bowral she had resided in Tumut all her life, many many years in Simpson Street, Newtown, Tumut. She married Mr. Sidney Crampton, of Tumut, who predeceased her three and a half years ago. There are three sons surviving, viz. Ernest (Tumut), Hector (Carlton), and Roy (Wallendbeen). One son Mervyn predeceased her. Sisters and brothers surviving are Edith (Mrs. H. Harris, Bombowlee), Emma (Mrs. J. Beattie, Sydney), Lena (Mrs. P. Blakeney, New Zealand), Jainie (Mrs. J. Green), Rapville), Frank Morris (Brungle), John Morris (Terry's Creek) and Tom Morris (Batlow). One brother Charles predeceased her. Deceased was a home-loving woman and a keen gardener. The remains were brought to Tumut for interment, the funeral leaving from All Saints' Church on Thursday afternoon last for the C. of E. portion of the Tumut New Cemetery. Rev. W. J. Conran officiated at the graveside and W. W. Beavan and Son had charge of the mortuary arrangements. Pallbearers were Messrs. Ernest, Roy and Hector Crampton (sons) and Thos. Morris (brother).
