OBITUARY MISS MARY ANN BURNS There passed away at 'Ennis Vale' Gilmore, the family residence of the Burns family, at 7 a.m. on. Friday last, Miss Mary Ann Burns, a native born, at the age of 65 years, death coming peacefully after 2half years of a trying illness, during, which Drs. Browne and Clouston gave the patient their best attention, besides receiving treatment and ad vice from Sydney specialists. The late Miss Burns was born on the Gilmore Creek, and lived in the old family home all her life. She was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church, and during her long illness received spiritual consolation through Very Rev. Fr. J. Sharkey, P.P. Deceased leaves two sorrow ing sisters (Mrs. W. Egan, Gunnedah, and Mrs. P. Eurell, Harden), iind one brother (James, 'Ennis Vale,' Gilmore) . The funeral took place on Saturday last, the remains being laid to rest ib the R.C. portion of the Old Cemetery, alongside the graves of her father and mother and a sister, Kate, who predeceased her many years ago at an early age. The coffin-bearers were Messrs A. McGillivray, W. J. Piper, J. Hastings, D. Reardon, W. Rivers and J. I. Shaw. Rev. Fr. McDonald perfor med the last sad rites at the grave side, and Mr. H. W. Baker conducted the mortuary arrangements. |
