The daughter of Catherine nee Barclay and Donald Ross. Mary Ann emigrated to the colony in 1838. Traveling on the same ship as her future husband, William Oliver, she arrived in Port Jackson, Sydney on 28 Jan 1839 on the ship Lady McNaughton.
She married William Oliver on 9 Mar 1840 in the Scots Church, Pitt Street, Sydney. She and William had 7 (seven), children. |
