Personal Notes:
Rite changed her name by Deed Poll in the Supreme Court of Queensland in Brisbane on 2 Dec 1943 to Rita Emily BIELENSKI.

Rita had the misfortune to meet a duplicitous Captain in the U.S. Medical Corps--Brunon Bielinski (no middle name). She did so to give me a "name" when I was born. He represented himself as a single man but was in fact on his second marriage. He had a Ship's Captain's marriage performed which, of course, wasn't legal. An Australian, Mr Stephens, made trouble and had my father shipped out before I was born. He wrote to my mother for a couple of years and moved on to flatter other ladies. Indeed after his "transfer", he was going to get a divorce in Reno and marry my mother "by proxy."
