Vincent — Cunningham-Eade
A very pretty wedding was cele-
brated on Thursday afternoon, Feb
ruary 15, at St. John's Cathedral,
Kalgoorlie, when Bertha Cunning-
ham-Eade, eldest daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Mr. J. Eade, of Campbell,
street, Kalgoorlie, became the wife
of John, second son of Mrs. Vincent,
of Varden street, Kalgoorlie, and
the late Mr. J. Vincent. Ven.
Archdeacon Brewis was the officia-
ting clergyman. The bride, entering
the church with her father, who sub-
sequently gave her away, wore a
lovely, graceful gown of ivory satin,
with draped skirt failing into a
slight train. The plain bodice was
finished with two flat camellias at
the V-shaped neck and the long
sleeves with tiny frills came to a
point over the hand. Her tulle veil,
kindly loaned by Mrs. W. Kent,
was held by a coronet of orange
buds, and a sheaf of pink and gold
gladoli gave a lovely touch of colour.
Mrs. R. C. Daw, of Esperance,
sister of the bridegroom, was matron
of honour, and Miss Myrtle Eade,
the bride's sister, was bridesmaid.
Each wore a charming frock of let-
tuce green organdie, ankle length,
with frilled godets foaming at the
foot of the skirt. Matching hats
and gauntlets, with Victorian posies
of vari-coloured rosebuds and fern
made pretty finishing tuohes. Miss
Beryl Eade the bride's younger
sister, in a dainty ankle-length frock
of coral pink suede roberta, with
muff to match and a head bandeau
of rosebuds, was trainbearer. A
dainty rose brooch was the bride- .
groom's gift to the little girl, while
the older attendants' gifts were ;
chromatic-plated bracelets. Mr.
Lindsay Hutcheson carried out the
duties of best man and Mr. Victor
Casley those of groomsman. Mrs.
Donald Murray presided at the
organ and, during the signing of the
register, Mrs. Gordon Emery sang
"My Prayer. After the ceremony,
a reception for relatives and inti-
mate friends was held at the home
of the bride's parents, where Mrs.
Eade received her guests wearing a
becoming frock of mid-night blue
marocain with sand wool lace and
hat en suite. The bridegroom's
mother, Mrs. Vincent, assisted her,
wearing a chic black and white
frock with hat to match. Mr. and
Mrs. Vincent left by the evening's
express to spend their honeymoon
at the coast, the bride's travelling
frock being a smart ensemble of
check georgette and jade crepe
marocain with small cream balli-
buntal straw hat with jade band.
Mr. and Mrs. Vincent have made
their homo in Varden street, Kal-
goorlie.
