OBITUARY
Magnetic Island's oldest resident, Mr. Ludvig Olaf Albert Olsen, died in Towns- vllle on Wednesday night, after a brief illness. He was in his 90th year. The late Mr. Olsen was a native of Copenhagen. The hardy Dane followed the life of a seafarer for some years, visiting various parts of the world in sailing ships, till he decided to settle in Australia, where he had lived for 67 years.
In 1902 he and his wife settled in Cockle Bay, Magnetic Island, and they have made this the family home ever since. Mr. Olsen is survived by his widow, two sons, Albert (Townsville) and Charles (Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island), and four daughters, Miss E. Olsen (Cockle Bay), Mrs. E. Winter (Maitland, N.S.W.), Mrs. S. Worsfold (Charters Towers) and Mrs. H. W. Jensen (Mackinlay).
