DEATH OF CHARLIE MOHR.
An old identity of the bush, Charlie Mohr, passed away at the Hospital on Monday last at the age of 59 years. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Rymer (Church of England) officiating at the graveside. The cause of death was an old leg trouble. Many years ago he had a leg badly broken on Pretty Bend and was in the hospital twelve months. The leg was badly set and had to be broken again and re-set, but it never got properly right and eventually caused his death. A genuine chap, Charlie was well liked. He was a native of Bowen, his parents, residing near Argyll Park in the early days, but spent most of his time in the bush, was a typical bushman, good with stock and very use ful on a station. He was em ployed by members of the Isbell family on Pretty Bend and other stations for a great number of years. He was an expert greenhide worker and could make almost anything out of that commodity.
He leaves a wife, two daughters and one son.
