Note 1: The Sun ( Sydney) 6 Sept 1936 The "something blue" worn by Miss Betty Cowley when she was married yesterday to Mr. David Emert, was a lovely turquoise brooch which is one hundred and fifty years old, and which was lent by her aunt, Miss L. A. Cowley. Miss Cowley pinned the brooch to the shoulder of her wedding gown. The bride, who is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. M. Cowley, of Roseville, was attended by Misses Ruth Cowley and Frances Emert. The bridegroom is the only son of Mrs. V. B. Emert, of Roseville, and the late Mr. Emert. Rev. W. J. Roberts officiated at St. Andrew's Church, Roseville. The best man was Mr. Ken Sorenson, and groomsman Mr. Donald Cowley. Mrs.Cowley received the guests at the Carlton Hotel, assisted by Mrs. Emert.
