OBITUARY.
I Mrs. Fanny Robinson, relict of the
late Mr. Edward Robinson, of Kella
lac, passed away on Sunday morning.
After the death of her husband
September, 1915, Mrs. Robinson was
never quite the same, and as time went
on her health continued to fail. For
some months past she was under care
and treatment in Melbourne for ner
vous break-down, and only recently re
turned home. Unfortunately there was
no improvement in her condition. On
Sunday morning Mrs. Robinson wan
dered a short distance from the home,
and was found dead. Deceased, who
was 67 years of age, was one of the
oldest residents of the district, having
settled at Kellalac with her husband
over 30 years ago. Of a kindly, sym
pathetic, and hospitable nature, the
late Mrs. Robinson was highly es
teemed by the people of the district,
and by all who knew her. In the
strenuous days associated with farm
ing activities in this part of the State
she played a worthy part as wife and
mother, giving constant and thought
ful attention to the affairs of the
home. She was also appreciated as a
neighbor. Deceased leaves a grown-
up family of four sons and three
daughters, who are left in comfortable
circumstances. One of the sons—Mr.
Frederick Robinson—is on active ser
vice with the Australian troops in
Palestine. An inquiry into the cause
of death was held before Mr. J. Camp
bell, J.P., on Monday. The medical
evidence showed that deceased had
succumbed to heart failure, and a ver
dict was returned accordingly. There
was a large attendance at the funeral,
which took place at the Warracknabeal
cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. Rev.
F. W. Coupe conducted the service at
the grave. The coffin-bearers were
Messrs. C. Morcom, J. A. Smith, W.
Peters, W. Beggs, D. Rae, and G. W.
Holland, and the pall-bearers Messrs.
R. G. Griffiths, F. C. Schmidt, H. C.
Parsons, M. O'Loughlin, J. Peters, C.
R. Mackenzie, R. J. Beggs, and G.
Armstrong.
