DIVORCE GRANTED.
In the Supreme Court, before His
Honour Mr Justice Brennan, Florence
Ethel Brown, of Mackay, was granted
a dissolution of her marriage with
Frank Gompertz Brown, of Mia Mia,
near Mackay, on the ground of desertion. There was no appearance of the
defendant. The petitioner gave evidence that she was married to the defendant at Mackay on December 17,
1918. Since December 26, 1920, she
stated, the defendant had deserted her.
His Honour granted a decree nisi, returnable after three months. Mr J. F.
Hall (instructed by Messrs B. M. Lilley, Lilley, and Gilmour, town agents
for Messrs Macrossan and Amiet, Mackay) appeared for the petitioner.
