Mr Frederick Nehmer, a very old resi dent of Longreach, died somewhat sud- denly. Last night he complained of not being too well. Dr. F. A. H. Michod was sent for, but Mr. Nehmer passed away soon after his arrival. Death was due to heart failure. The deceased was fifty five years of age. He arrived in Australia from Prussia forty years ago. He came here when the railway was opened. He was Past Chief Ranger of tile Foresters' Lodge. The members of that body took part this afternoon in the funeral, which was largely attended.

Nehmer, and the late Mr. F. Nehmer, Eagle Street, to Mr. Frederick James Hatte, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Hatte, Ballygar, Aramac. The Very Rev Dean W. J. McElhinney officiated. The, bride, who was given away by her brother Mr. F. Nehmer wore a gown of white georgette, trimmed with lace panels with which was worn a white straw hat. She was attended by her niece Miss Catherine Nehmer, who wore, a frock of floral silk voile, with a black straw hat. Mr. F. Nehmer was the best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony relatives and friends of the happy couple assembled at the residence of the bride's mother, where the, usual toasts were honoured.
