(Inserted by his loving wife and family). Morning Bulletin (Rockhampton) 26 Dec 1906 CROYDON. December 25. Mr. Henry Rowse, the manager of Ben- nion's Block, fell down a shaft yesterday morning. He was engaged in fitting in a fresh column in the pump when the ladder gave way and he fell a distance of 60 ft., when the ladder stuck in the shaft. Mr. Rowse's body hit the top of the ladder, which entered the body and held it fast till a rescue party of miners descended. The injured man was brought to the surface, but died shortly after his admittance to the Hospital.

The funeral will leave the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. Couch, Mexican St,, to-day at 3 p.m.
