OBITUARY
MRS. W. J. SCRIFFIN
The death took place on the 8th in
stant, at the residence of her daugh
ter (Mrs. Haynes), at Lindfield, 'Syd-
ney, of Mrs. Christina Scriffin, wife
of Mr. William J. Scriffin.
Mr. Scriffin was a member of a
once well-known Hay family, and he
took up land in the Carrathool dis
trict, which he very successfully
worked for a number of years when
the family retired to live at Summer
Hill, Sydney. He was married at
Hay to Miss Arnold, whose family have
for many years been landholders in
the Carrathool district. Mrs. Scrif
fin is survived by her husband and one
daughter, Flora, who is married to a
son of the late Edward Haynes, who
spent the earlier years of his life in
Hay.
