DEATH OF MR. HENRY SAXBY OF
GUNNING.
News reached Yass yesterday afternoon of
the death of Mr. Henry Saxby of Gunning.
Mr. Saxby was one of the oldest residents of
the Gunning district, and carried on the
business of storekeeper until the time of his
death. For honesty, straightforward conduct
and Christian spirit, Henry Saxby had no
superior. Great sympathy is felt in Yass for
Mrs. Saxby and family. We believe the
funeral takes place to-day, and if it were not
for the funeral of a Yass resident, also the
eve of the election, many from Yass would
travel to Gunning to pay the last tribute of
respect to the remains of a truly honourable
man.
