E. Ferguson There passed away suddenly early yesterday morning Mrs. Beatrice Elizabeth Ferguson, wife of Mr. J. H. Ferguson, of Wellington-street. The late Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Mackay district, having been born at Eton in 1889. She worked for a number of years in her father's business and from there transferred to the firm of Wallis and Co., where she remained until her marriage. She later became proprietress of the well known Ferguson's Cafe and relinquished this business In January, 1944. The deceased lady is survived by her widower, two daughters, Miss Mary Ferguson and Mrs. Jack Elliott, and one grandson, all of whom reside in Mackay. The funeral will leave St. Patrick's Church this morning at 11 o'clock for Mackay Cemetery.
