The funeral of the late Antonia E. . Weiske took place yesterday forenoon and was attended by relatives of the deceased. Mrs Weiske was 69 years of age. She arrived in Australia in 1871 and came to Mackay from Brisbane with her husband in 1872.
A husband and grown-up family are left to mourn their loss, the members, of the family being Mrs. J C. Laurent, Messrs. Fred Weiske (Postmaster, Barcaldine), and Ernie, Willie, Charley and Frank (Mackay).

OBITUARY
The many old friends of the late John Charles Fredrick Weiske will regret to learn of his death at Bundaberg on the 22nd. October aged 77 years.
The late Mr. Weiske was post master at Roma from 1916 to 1918 and from 1920 to1926.
During his term of office at Roma he owned several grazing properties, in this district including "Naldera" and "Penrose".
He leaves a wife and three children Ivy Mrs. C. L. Thrupp Blythwood Roma, Lance Stock and Station Agent Gladstone and Muriel Mrs. J. Shearer Cairns.

ROLLED ON BY HORSE.
Charles Weiske, a veterinary sur geon in the- employ of the Palms- Es ate, had his left thigh fractured at Te -Kowai on Wednesday afternoon.
He was assisting another man with a team of horses when one of the ani mals fell on him, causing the injury mentioned. -First aid was rendered by the Ambulance, and the patient taken, to the District Hospital.
